This is the first and only NZTA approved Level 1 Basic TC – Refresher course available ONLINE throughout NZ.
The NZTA Level 1 Basic TC - Refresher Qualification must be renewed every 3 years in order to retained a current qualification, this can now be done by:
1. Attending a one-day Level 1 Basic TC1-Refresher classroom environment course or
2. Register to refresher this qualification ONLINE, in your own time, phase and environment within a 3-week period.
Who can undertake this course module:
To undertake this online workshop applicants must hold a current NZTA Level 1 Basic TC qualification that has not expired for more than 12-months.
How to Register:
This Level 1 Basic TC - Refresher online course aims to refresh candidates on their knowledge of the NZTA Code of Practice for Temporary Traffic Management (CoPTTM) and introduce any changes to the CoPTTM that have been made since their last formal training event.

Applicants will be expected to work through each course module and undertake a test after each module. Applicants must achieve a minimum of 60% per test to successfully complete this course module. Following successful completion of this course module, the applicant will obtain their Level 1 Basic TC qualification for 3 years (from the date of completion).
To assist with understanding the process and expectations throughout this course, the applicant is encouraged to watch the videos at the start of this course module, example of some of the support videos available:
Applicants must be reasonably comfortable undertaking a training course independently using a PC or Laptop computer or tablet. The online refresher course allows students to review and understand the qualification requirements in their own time in the comfort of their own environment over a maximum of 3-week period.
This course provides full NZTA accredited trainer support for all students between 9am and 9pm Monday – Friday and on call over weekends. Support is available to the applicant within the life system by messaging the trainer, flag a question or contact the office via phone (0800 862 000) or email o[email protected].
Payment Terms and Conditions:
Once the applicant has created their account (Registration Process), the applicant will receive and email to authenticate the applicants email address and be requested to log back into the online module page to process payment.
$186.96 + GST = $215.00 incl GST (including $40.00 NZTA Card Fee)
The applicant will be required to upload a head and shoulder (jpg) photo, taken against a white/blank wall that can be used to submit the applicant results to NZTA for the issue of their permanent card.
If anything changes and you cannot attend the course date for any reason, we need to receive
cancellation/replacement notice 48 hours prior to the course date.
Otherwise, a full charge will apply as per our terms and conditions. Exchanges are dependent on the replacement student meeting the required qualification prerequisites.
