The NZTA Level 1 Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS1) qualification must be renewed every 3 years in order to retained a current STMS1-Refresher qualification.
This workshop covers the standards and operating procedures required by the NZTA Code of Practice for Temporary Traffic Management (CoPTTM), Edition 4 (Feb 2017) and subsequent additions and amendments. Traffic Management Plan (TMP – CoPTTM section F) preparation and design and site safety auditing are also covered. The attendee/s understanding and calculation of the worksite layout distance table for Level 1 Roads will be beneficial to complete this course level.

Following successful completion of this workshop, a student will obtain their Level 1 STMS- Refresher qualification for 3 years (from the date of the course). This course is the pre-requisite for entry requirement for people wanting further training to Level 2/3 Site Traffic Management Supervisor Non-Practicing (STMS1 NP) standard of the Code of Practice for Temporary Traffic Management.
This workshop is facilitated using a purpose built electronic-learning platform. All students are provided full training on the use of the system at the start of the course. Each student views and explores the material using their own personal tablet. This includes the conduct of all theory tests. Students must complete all theory tests and achieve at least 60% in each assessment to complete the course.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own electronic device to the course (tablet/iPad/laptop) to use during the course. Internet access is not required when using your own electronic-device.
